WORK & PROJECT
Internship at
IBM SkillsBuild 2024
The IBM SkillsBuild Summer Internship Program 2024, in collaboration with CSRBOX, focuses on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI-ML). This virtual internship program is designed for college students and will run from June 15 to August 5, 2024. It offers hands-on learning opportunities, mentorship, and project-based experiences to enhance participants’ skills in AI and ML.
- Utilized IBM’s online learning platform to acquire foundational knowledge of AI, machine learning, and data science, applying it to create an AI chatbot and producing a final program report.
- Collaborated with team members on academic interventions, completing over 15 exercises applying AI to practical scenarios.
- Leveraged internship knowledge to develop a virtual assistant AI chatbot capable of conversing with users, organizing schedules, summarizing content, and retrieving information.
- Earned two digital badge in Artificial Intelligence application
– Artificial Intelligent Fundaments
– Working in Digital World: Professional Skills

Co-Author of
BRAILLE TELLER (ONGOING)
Introduction: The Braille Teller addresses the learning barriers faced by blind individuals by converting printed text into audio and Braille formats. Combining image processing and text conversion, it aims to provide an affordable, accessible solution for independent access to books and documents.
Methodology:
1. Image Capture: A fixed camera captures an image of the text.
2. Image Processing: The captured image undergoes enhancement agorithms
3. OCR Conversion: Theimage is converted into text using OCR algorithms.
4. Output Generation: The digital text is transformed into either an audio file for playback or a Braille format for tactile reading through a Braille engine.
Result:
– The device demonstrated strong performance with high-quality image inputs.
– Convert images into both audio and draft Braille outputs was achieved.
– A functional prototype was developed.
Challenges and Limitations:
– Limited expertise in mechanical design hindered the refinement of Braile Teller.
– The current prototype remains too expensive to meet the affordability criteria.
– While functional, the OCR performance does not yet meet the desired level of accuracy.
