The Journey

To Discovery myself and Grown up

Immerse myself in

   Traditional Craft

Central Vietnam is a region that faces numerous storms and floods each year. During these events, driftwood from upstream rivers like Thu Bon or Co Co is often carried downstream. While local people used to discard or burn the wood, Le Ngoc Thuan saw its potential as a symbol of Central Vietnam’s culture. He founded Driftwood Village, where he transforms driftwood into artworks, promoting a green lifestyle and harmony with nature.

Visiting Driftwood Village was an unforgettable experience. I vividly recall immersing myself in the craft of wood carving for the first time. It began with selecting a piece of driftwood, envisioning a design, and sketching a draft. Holding a chisel and hammer, I carefully carved layer by layer, each stroke bringing the vision to life. The rhythmic sound of the hammer echoed my excitement, and I felt completely connected to nature in a way I’d never experienced before. This hands-on encounter with traditional craftsmanship was a revelation. Beyond the pages of books, I discovered a profound beauty in this heritage—one that words alone cannot capture.

   Tam Tien – Quang Nam

My Informatics club, CODMOS, and I had a significant activity: bringing information technology to children in Tam Tien village, Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province.

Many tourists are familiar with Tam Tien Village, located in Quang Nam province. Its images of the most famous fish market in Quang Nam are familiar to many tourists. Not only that, there are also children who are eager to learn, eager to explore, and ready to approach new technologies and new knowledge, believing that one day they will go to the big world.

We are very happy to accompany the children here, giving them candy, computer knowledge, and interesting information about computers and technology. We hope that with the spirit of loving technology and computer science that we have, we will be able to convey more to the children as well as everyone.

Unforgettable trip

   7 Steps to Summer

“7 Steps to Summer” is a heartfelt initiative by the Blisskidz club, where we united through the sale of fast foods and online fundraising to embark on a profound two-day journey to Nam Tra My, a remote, mountainous district in Quang Nam, Da Nang. There, we had the honor of delivering over 100 gifts to the children and families who welcomed us with open hearts.

This experience transformed me. Life in Nam Tra My starkly contrasts with city living—roads are rugged, electricity is limited, and educational opportunities are scarce. Yet, the gratitude radiating from the locals was truly inspiring. Each child’s story of resilience and joy reminded me of my own privileges, making me acutely aware of how fortunate I am.

The moment I saw the smiles bursting forth on their faces as we handed out our gifts, emotions overwhelmed me. It was a beautiful reminder of the joy in giving, however small. I hoped with all my heart that these gifts would bring them even a glimmer of hope and happiness, even if just for a fleeting moment.

The trip, although only 2 days long, had countless “love words” to remember, thousands of “love stories” to share. I will forever cherish the magic of “Tra My’s starry sky” and the joy we shared, hoping the smiles we sparked continue to shine brightly in their lives.

Learning positive mindset via

   VYLS Summer Camp

The Vietnamese Youth Leadership Summit (VYLS), organized by Lyceum Global, empowers youth aged 14–18 to lead and contribute to their communities. VYLS 2024, themed “Blooming with GRACE,” took place online from July 20 to July 28, 2024.

Through the “GRACE framework” (Gratitude, Respect, Accountability, Courage, and Engagement), I gained valuable insights into self-discovery and confidence. As part of a team named “Com me nau” (Mom’s Rice), we tackled creative challenges and created an inspirational video, enhancing our teamwork and leadership skills.

VYLS 2024 was a transformative experience that taught me resilience, collaboration, and the power of a positive mindset.
